This website is devoted to Anthony Thwaite’s poetry. Over the years, I’ve come to realise that Thwaite’s poetry is seriously under-estimated; he is a master technician and has written a number of extremely good poems. He’s yet to produce a bad poem; even his minor poems are of interest. His best poems have the power of the masters he has been influenced by: Larkin, Hughes, Hardy and Houseman.

This is a very attractive website, modest, and with concentration on poems rather than personality. The readings and introductory comments are delightfully relaxed. I shall send out a few emails about it.
